Egg Wash
Egg wash is often used for coating the top of baked goods, especially pies, to give a shine when baked. It's also used for battering fish and other ingredients for deep frying.
Ingredients
- 1 egg yolk, egg white, or whole egg
- 1–2 tablespoons water or milk
Instructions
- Beat all ingredients together.
- Apply wash as directed by your recipe.
